Making Oxygen Therapy Visible™
Who can participate?
Join a Conserve Medical Clinical Programs Coordinator for a live session exploring oxygen therapy in nursing practice.
The session combines evidence-based learning, clinical discussion and reflection with an opportunity to share your own experience, questions and perspectives.
What to expect
Reflect on your confidence in managing oxygen therapy in your own clinical setting
Work through practical clinical scenarios and explore common assumptions
Explore current evidence and clinical considerations related to topics such as when oxygen is indicated, oxygen targets, oxygen saturation , respiratory rate, reassessment, changing oxygen needs, delivery equipment, escalation or referral, and oxygen stewardship
Share your experience, questions and perspectives to help shape MOTV and inform future work
You do not need to already feel confident with oxygen therapy.
Questions, uncertainty, different practice experiences, and knowledge gaps are welcome.
MOTV is currently open to nurses, recent nursing graduates, and nursing students who are in the later stages of their education and have clinical-placement experience.
Relevant to medical and surgical wards, emergency care, intensive or critical care, respiratory care, paediatrics, perioperative care, and other hospital or clinical settings where supplemental oxygen is used.
Free 45-minutes one-on-one virtual training session
MOTV is in a consultation and co-design phase. Your input helps improve course content, learning activities, and future clinical resources.
This work is funded by Conserve Medical, with support through Canada's Student Work Placement Program, which is supporting Master's-level nursing students involved in programme development and delivery.
